The State of Florida has redesigned the base
plate (above) which had a peachy looking orange in the middle. The new
plate (below) has two oranges and orange blossoms in the middle over the
usual state outline. The deep orange color and greater detail are a welcome
change. The FLORIDA logo at the top of the current plate has been replaced with
the state's website address in a plain looking single color block font. The
first new plates were issued the first of the new year 2004. Click image below to
